Tamara Gverdsiteli and Till Lindemann as Starring Guests of the Spasskaya Tower Festival

Go back

The Fourteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival is approaching its end, and today we have witnessed the ninth evening show of this year’s tattoo run.

Meanwhile, we are carrying on introducing bands representing Russia, and now it's the turn of the Band of the Military Institute (of Military Conductors) of the Military University of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Central Band of the Russian Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia.

Stepping onto Red Square, the military conductors start performing various regroupings and even dancing to the sounds of a very energetic medley. One of their regrouping patterns features a heart that symbolises how much the musicians love the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival and its audiences, a gesture that definitely reaches its target . Meanwhile, the Central Band of the Border Guard Service has brought to Moscow’s Red Square a true carnival full of popular songs and energetic dances.

The night was crowned by the performances of the Festival’s two starring guests - Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Honored Artist of Russia and Georgia, and Till Lindemann, German singer and frontman of Rammstein and Lindemann Bands.

Till Lindemann is a special guest of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival and performs here for the first time .

Accompanied by the Military Band (of the Moscow Garrison) of the 154th Preobrazhensky Regiment, the Combined Military Band of the Felix Dzerzhinskiy Separate Operational Purpose Division (awarded the Orders of Zhukov, Lenin and October Revolution) of the National Guard Forces of the Russian Federation and the Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, he performs Lubimiy Gorod (Beloved City) song (music by Bogoslovskiy, lyrics by Dolmatovskiy).

As usual, the night was crowned by magnificent fireworks.
