"The Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo will carry on promoting the image of the Russian Armed Forces and serve as a credible role-model of Russia’s openness and readiness to both military and cultural international cooperation", reads the welcoming address sent by the Russian Ministry of Defense General of the Army Sergey Shoigu.
The Head of the Russian Ministry of Defense congratulated the participants, organizers, and guests of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo on the opening of the Festival’s fifteenth anniversary run, highlighting that unique in its aesthetics and stunningly rich content-wise, the Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival has rightfully secured its status as a globally important humanitarian project.
The greetings read: "Year over year, the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival has been encouraging the development of national military bands’ marching traditions, making a priceless contribution to the patriotic and responsible upbringing of the youth and nourishing respect for Russian glorious military history and the musical art of peoples around the world."

The Festival is carried out following the Order of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, under the aegis of the Public Council headed by Mr. Alexander Zhukov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Moscow Department of Culture.
