The Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival will unfold from August 26 to September 3, 2023, following the Order of President of Russia Vladimir Putin. As per usual, the event will take place on Moscow’s Red Square, in the very heart of the city.
In 2022, the Spasskaya Tower Military Tattoo celebrated its fifteenth birthday. Over 160 music and artistic groups from 57 countries have already become part of the Festival, while more than 50 million people have watched its live streams worldwide.
The Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo is a unique project in terms of scale, audience, and impact. Every year it is recognized as the most prominent international project of Russia’s cultural life as well as the world’s best top three military music festivals.
Addressing participants and audiences of the Festival, President of Russia Vladimir Putin once noted that “the cultural life of Russia’s capital is crowned by this truly magnificent, vibrant and colorful celebration of music which is also acknowledged as one of the most impressive and sought after projects in the field of international humanitarian cooperation”.
The Spasskaya Tower Military Tattoo is famous for its evening shows. As per a longstanding tradition, it also carries out an outstanding charity program, distributing several thousands of tickets among representatives of the socially vulnerable groups of people as well as educational institutions of Moscow, its region and across the country. In 2022, the program was extended to cover families of the servicemen taking part in the special military operation in Ukraine. Along with its evening shows, the Festival’s regular program involves a manifold of side events and special projects.
