Music day as a part of Spasskaya Tower for Children Festival

Tomorrow, on the 29th of August, a Day of Music will take place at kids’ town at the Red Square.

Fr om 11.00 to 15.30 anyone will have an opportunity to try to play a drum set, keyboard or cajon (a box-shaped percussion instrument played with the hands, fingers, or sometimes various implements such as brushes, mallets, or sticks). Professional musicians will do a training. Ilya Grigorenko will do a workshop on beatboxing (a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of mimicking drum machines, using one's mouth, lips, tongue, and voice). 

Animators from the «Russian Radio» will play board games with the visitors. A lottery from a popular Russian radio will take place at the kids’ town stage.

At 11.00 a children band called «Marsh-routy» will perform.

At 11.30 visitors will have a chance to see a performance of a children and youth band «Dynamic Guys». This band frequently performs at various state celebrations organized in Moscow in the State Kremlin Palace, the Red Square, the «Russia» Concert Hall. They will sing patriotic songs, songs about sport, love, happy childhood, true friendship and dedication.

At 12.00 a drum flashmob will be organized, wh ere anyone can participate. You will be given a percussion instrument (drums, cajon or cymbals) to have a short lesson of music. After that you can play several songs as an orchestra, lead by drummers from Rhythmy Stiсks. «Moscow Cadet Music Corps» will be accompanying this performance. 

At 13.00 a contest «Golden Thread of Traditions» will be organized with participation of professional artists. 

Thematic events as a part of «Spasskaya Tower for Children» Festival take place every day. The 30th of August is a sports day, while the 31st is traditionally dedicated to horse shows.
