The 10th Anniversary International Military Music Festival Spasskaya Tower will be held in Moscow from August 26 to September 3, 2017. Musicians of the Egyptian Military Symphony Orchestra will come to the stone paving of the main square of the country for the first time.

Geography of the Festival covers traditionally all parts of the world. This year Egypt has joined the participating countries. The state which lies through the territory of two continents, will be presented by the main ceremonial orchestra of the country. The conductor of the orchestra is Major-General Samir Abdel Mohsen.

For more than half a century, representatives of the Egyptian Military Symphony Orchestra have participated in various state, cultural and sports events. In the 1960s, the orchestra became a laureate of the World Festival of Military Music in Bari (Italy) for six consecutive years. In 1995, it performed at the Military Music Festival in Edinburgh (Great Britain), in 2000 and 2004 — at the Berlin International Folk Music Festival (Germany), in 2006 — at the International Festival of Military Music in Mönchengladbach (Germany).

Also, within the 10th International Military Music Festival Spasskaya Tower in the Red Square, legendary and internationally renowned musicians from Russia, Austria, Armenia, Belorussia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, Switzerland and others, as well as an ensemble from the European Union and an international band will show their skills.

For ten nights, a colourful show will be held in front of the audience and guests of the Festival, representing performances by the best Russian and foreign military orchestral bands, framed with theatrical elements, light installations and a grandiose salute.
